About St Peter's House

St Peter's House is a residential care home in Suffolk, providing accommodation and personal care for older people, including some living with dementia. Details of the most recent CQC findings are set out below.

St Peter's House is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care for up to 66 older people, including some living with dementia. The CQC found the service requires improvement overall, with continued breaches around safe care and treatment and governance. Medicines were not always given as prescribed, health and safety risks were poorly managed, and complaints were not always documented or responded to promptly.

Inspectors found staff were kind and caring, and relatives felt improvements had followed a change in management. However, staffing deployment was inconsistent, and poor signage and empty memory boxes left some people with dementia struggling to find their way around. A dementia specialist has been brought in to help address this.
