About St Patricks Care Home

St Patricks Care Home has been serving the Halton community as a place where older people can receive dedicated nursing care in a familiar, homely setting. The team there understands how much it means to find the right environment for a loved one, and families are encouraged to reach out and get a feel for the home and the people who work there. Choosing care is never easy, and having a local option in Halton can make a real difference to staying connected with the people who matter most.

St Patricks Care Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 40 older people and those living with dementia in one adapted building. At the time of inspection, 38 people were using the service.

Inspectors identified significant concerns with infection prevention and control. Unclean areas were observed throughout the home across both days of inspection, and personal protective equipment was not stored appropriately, risking cross contamination. Risk assessments were not consistently completed in a timely manner, and records did not demonstrate that identified risks were being effectively managed, potentially placing people at harm.
