St Mary's Care Home provides accommodation and nursing care for up to 56 older people, including rehabilitation support for those discharged from hospital. The CQC rated the home Good overall, finding significant improvement since the last inspection, when breaches relating to person-centred care and governance had been identified. These had been resolved, with better activities, refurbished bathrooms and stronger record-keeping, though some infection control issues in bathrooms still needed attention.

Inspectors found staff attentive, kind and sufficiently trained, working well with other professionals to meet people's needs safely. People and relatives praised the friendly atmosphere, varied activities and food, and said they felt safe and listened to.
