St Georges Court Care Home

St Georges Court Care Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 76 older people across three floors with adapted facilities and shared areas. At inspection, 67 people were using the service, some living with dementia. The home's quality monitoring systems failed to identify that safeguarding processes were not always followed by staff to keep people safe from poor care. Although staff had received training, they did not always have the skills and knowledge to promote people's nursing needs, health and well-being. Risks to people were not always properly considered, and care plans and risk assessments were not updated quickly enough when people's needs changed, nor did they contain sufficient information to guide staff in delivering appropriate care.
