Cherry Hinton Nursing Home

Cherry Hinton Nursing Home provides accommodation, nursing, and personal care for up to 59 people, with 22 residents living there at the time of inspection. The home has created a purpose-built screened area in one of its lounges to enable safe visits between residents and family members. During the Covid-19 outbreak, senior managers from the provider's head office moved into the home to support staff, including covering night shifts, and now telephone daily to check on staff wellbeing and arrange additional support as needed.

The provider has invested in enhanced cleaning practices, including purchasing a specialist sanitising machine. Staff will receive training from the Chief Operating Officer to help them better understand and cope with bereavement issues.
