St Anne's Community Services - Cardigan Road

This residential care home accommodates up to 8 people with learning disabilities and autism. At inspection, all 8 available places were filled. Staff provided adequate support for people both at home and in the community, and people were supported to make choices and maintain independence through the least restrictive practices possible.

However, inspectors identified safety concerns. Systems for recording and reporting incidents were inconsistent among staff, and medicines were not always managed safely. These issues had not been identified through the provider's governance arrangements, though management took prompt action once the inspectors highlighted the problems.

People reported being happy living at the home and appeared relaxed and comfortable with staff and their housemates. The service demonstrated a commitment to supporting people with choice and control over their daily lives.
