Springfield Residential Home

Springfield provides accommodation and personal care to 31 people in one adapted building, with capacity for up to 34 residents. People are supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives, with staff operating in the least restrictive way possible and in residents' best interests. Residents reported feeling safe and content, with one describing it as "a lovely place" where "the staff look after me." A relative praised the service as "a beautiful physical space with a lovely atmosphere" staffed by "efficient, well-trained and delightful" people who have kept their mother "amused, entertained and happier than she could have imagined."

The service provides safe care with effective systems in place. Individual risks are identified and regularly reviewed, medicines are managed appropriately, and infection control measures are established. Staff recruitment and selection processes are robust, with sufficient staffing levels that work well as a team to meet people's needs. Health and social care professionals are regularly involved to ensure residents receive appropriate care and treatment.
