Springfield House

Springfield House accommodates up to 21 people aged 18 and over, some living with dementia, and currently supports 19 residents. People feel safe and supported by staff who demonstrate knowledge of different types of abuse and reporting procedures. The registered manager understands their safeguarding responsibilities and ensures care planning identifies risks with appropriate protections in place.

Staffing levels are adequate to meet people's needs and keep them safe. Medicines are managed securely, though improvements are needed in recording prescribed creams. The home maintains cleanliness and follows safe infection control practices. Staff support people to have maximum choice and control in their lives, using the least restrictive approaches and acting in residents' best interests. The provider has systems to monitor service quality and drive improvement, with people, relatives and staff actively involved throughout.
