South Highnam

South Highnam is a care home providing accommodation, nursing and personal care for up to 8 people with a learning disability. At the time of the assessment, 7 people were living at the home. The CQC rated the service Good overall, an improvement on the previous rating of requires improvement.

Inspectors found risks were now well managed, medicines were administered safely, and quality monitoring systems were effective. Staff were described as compassionate and knowledgeable about people's needs, and relatives spoke positively about the warm, welcoming atmosphere. People were supported to pursue interests, build skills and take part in community life.
