About Five Penny House

Five Penny House is a residential care home in Hartlepool, offering support for people with learning disabilities and physical disabilities. Details of the most recent CQC inspection are set out below.

Five Penny House is a purpose-built home supporting up to six people with learning disabilities and physical disabilities. At the time of inspection, six people were using the service. Staff do not wear uniforms or identifying clothing, and people are actively supported to access local community facilities and services.

The newly registered manager has a clear vision for the home and has already implemented positive changes. People receive person-centred support designed to promote control, choice, and independence.

Medicines are stored safely and staff are trained correctly in their administration. However, records relating to 'as and when required' medicines needed improvement, which the registered manager addressed immediately during the inspection.
