Solent Lodge

The service provides residential care for up to four adults with learning and physical disabilities. A registered manager oversees the home's operations.

At the previous inspection, significant concerns were identified regarding the quality and safety of care. Staff were not consistently completing appropriate checks to ensure medicines were stored safely, and regular competency assessments for those administering medicines were not being conducted. Guidance for staff about administering medicines on an as-needed basis was insufficient, and administration records were not always properly completed. These gaps in medication management meant people were not adequately protected against risks of unsafe care. Additionally, effective quality assurance processes were not in place to monitor and improve service standards.
