Solent Lodge

Solent Lodge provides care and support for people with a learning disability and autistic people. The home was assessed following concerns about governance and oversight, and the CQC found breaches relating to safe care and treatment, staffing, and management oversight. Risks were not always properly assessed, staff lacked sufficient training and supervision, and medicines were not always managed safely.

Inspectors also found restrictions on people were not always shown to be proportionate. Despite this, most feedback from people and relatives was positive, describing kind staff and noticeable improvements in wellbeing. The provider was open to feedback and had begun addressing the shortfalls identified.
