Silvermere Care Home

Silvermere Care Home provides care and support for older people, some living with dementia, and some with physical disabilities. The CQC assessed the service after concerns were raised about safe care, and found it was performing well overall. The home was being supported by an interim "turnaround" management team while recruitment for a new registered manager continued, with leadership described as visible and effective.

Inspectors found risks were managed well, staffing levels were sufficient, and infection control and health and safety standards were robust. People were supported with nutrition, healthcare and independence, and staff were found to be kind and caring, treating people with dignity and respect. Care plans reflected individual needs, including end-of-life wishes, and relatives spoke positively about staff.
