Silver Birch Care Home

Silver Birch Care Home is a residential nursing home providing accommodation and personal care for up to 75 older people, including those living with dementia, frailty or mental health conditions. The CQC rated the service Good overall. Inspectors found people were treated with kindness and respect, involved in decisions about their care, and supported to pursue activities and hobbies.

Risks and medicines were well managed, and staff were suitably recruited and skilled.

Governance had strengthened since the previous inspection, though inspectors noted further work was needed to embed consistent culture across the home. Staff feedback on speaking up and staffing arrangements was mixed, and reliance on agency staff remained while recruitment continued. Residents and relatives spoke warmly of caring, attentive staff.
