About Short Break Service

Short Break Service is a residential home in Manchester offering respite care for adults with complex needs associated with autism and learning disabilities. Details of the Care Quality Commission's most recent findings are set out below.

This short break service provides planned and unplanned respite care for up to three adults with complex needs associated with autism and learning disabilities. At inspection, two people were using the service. The service demonstrated a person-centred approach that maximised choice, control and independence while promoting dignity and privacy.

Staff supported people in the least restrictive way possible, and the ethos and values of leaders and care staff ensured people led confident, inclusive and empowered lives. Safety and risk management practices were embedded into everyday practice, and infection prevention and control measures were operated effectively.
