Shirelodge Nursing Home

Shirelodge Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care for older adults, including those with dementia, mental health conditions, and physical disabilities. The home can accommodate up to 54 people and was caring for 33 residents at the time of inspection.

Staff supported residents to maintain maximum choice and control over their lives using the least restrictive approaches. Care plans clearly detailed individual risks and needs, with medicines managed safely and infection control measures properly followed. However, the home needed to improve its recording of Mental Capacity Assessments and best interests decisions to align with good practice guidance.
