Shire House Care Home

Shire House Care Home provides residential care for up to 22 people, many of whom are living with dementia. The CQC rated the home Good overall. Inspectors brought the visit forward after a fire safety enforcement notice, but found the provider had already addressed or was upgrading the issues raised, and were assured by the actions taken.

Medicines were managed properly, staff supported people to access healthcare, and the premises were clean. Leaders, including the registered manager and nominated individual, were visible and involved with staff and residents. Relatives praised the staff and management, feeling welcomed and confident concerns would be addressed.
