Evelyn House

Evelyn House is a residential service providing care and support mainly to people living with mental health conditions, supporting six people at the time of assessment. The CQC found risk assessment and medicines management were not always adequate, and gaps existed in training oversight and care plan detail. Governance shortfalls amounted to a repeated breach, alongside a breach relating to safe care and treatment, though no one was found to have come to harm.

Inspectors also found positive practice, including kind and respectful staff, good partnership working, and supportive leadership. People felt safe and were encouraged to stay active and share their views, though the building's layout did not fully protect privacy and dignity. The provider has been asked to submit an action plan.
