Shenehom Housing Association

Shenehom Housing Association is a residential care home providing personal care for up to 13 people with mental health diagnoses. At inspection, 11 people were using the service. The management team are well regarded by staff, residents and relatives, with quality assurance systems in place to oversee the home's operations. The provider works with a range of professionals to meet residents' needs, and people feel safe and well-treated by staff. Risk management processes enable staff to support people safely, and infection control and medicines management follow appropriate guidelines.

The service supports people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff operating in the least restrictive way possible. Some staff training required updating, though the service has a plan in place for refresher sessions. Management were recommended to address audits in greater detail to strengthen quality assurance processes.
