Shaftesbury New Court Place

Livability New Court Place provides personal and nursing care for up to 24 people with physical disabilities, some of whom have additional health needs or learning disabilities. At the time of inspection, 21 people were using the service.

The home operates according to principles emphasizing control, choice, and independence for people with learning disabilities, enabling them to live meaningful lives and achieve the best possible outcomes. However, the service is larger than current best practice guidance recommends and has the institutional appearance of a traditional care home rather than a domestic setting.
