Seaton Hall Residential Home

Seaton Hall Residential Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 29 older and younger adults, including people living with dementia. At the time of the CQC's assessment, 25 people were living there. The home is rated Requires Improvement overall, having previously been rated good.

Inspectors found risks were not always safely managed, cleanliness and infection control fell short over an extended period, and care records were generic and incomplete. Quality assurance systems had failed to spot these issues, though the manager acted quickly to address concerns raised. Staff were kind, people felt safe and well cared for, and medicines were managed safely.

The service breached regulations on safe care, infection control and governance.
