Scholars Mews Care Home

Scholars Mews Care Home provides residential and dementia care for up to 64 people across three floors. At inspection, 43 people were living at the home, many with dementia, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions.

Inspectors found significant safeguarding concerns. Staff did not always report allegations of abuse promptly, and people's injuries were not consistently recorded or investigated. Staff felt unable to challenge unsafe practices because their concerns were not always listened to or acted upon. The lack of thorough injury investigations prevented the provider from identifying patterns and trends of accidents that could help prevent future harm.
