Sapphire House

Sapphire House is a residential care home supporting a small number of people with learning disabilities, autism and additional mental health needs. The CQC rated the service Good overall. Inspectors found staff were well trained and supported people’s distressed reactions relating to their mental health needs extremely well, while working closely with health professionals and involving people in decisions about their care.

Some shortfalls were identified in medicines and financial safeguarding systems, and in electrical safety record-keeping, which the provider had begun addressing. Staff were described as kind and attentive, treating people as individuals and helping them pursue hobbies and community life. Relatives gave positive feedback, and oversight from the manager and provider was found to be regular and supportive.
