Sandbanks Resource Centre

Sandbanks Resource Centre, run by the London Borough of Hounslow, provides care for up to 62 people who can no longer live independently at home, in a residential area of the borough. The CQC rated the service Good overall. Inspectors found people felt safe, were supported to personalise their rooms and maintain independence, and were involved in reviewing their care plans, with staff feeling supported by management.

However, shortfalls were identified around risk management plans, mental capacity assessments to ensure care was least restrictive, and medicines administration processes, which were not consistently followed. Some people felt staffing levels were insufficient and access to faith groups was not always supported, though lessons from incidents were shared with staff to reduce future risk.
