Saint Elkas Care Home, in Derbyshire, is a residential home providing care for up to 10 adults living with mental health conditions. The CQC rated the service outstanding overall, praising a strong culture of safety, effective risk management and highly personalised care. Staff knew people extremely well, supporting them to build confidence, independence and skills.

Inspectors found the environment clean and well maintained, with safe staffing, thorough recruitment and generally sound medicines management, though PRN outcomes had not always been recorded, which the registered manager acted on promptly. Leadership was open and well organised, and people and relatives spoke warmly of the kind, patient support they received.
