Sahara Parkside

Sahara Parkside provides accommodation and personal care across 10 flats, supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and physical disabilities. At the time of the assessment, 17 people were living there. The CQC rated the home as requires improvement overall, having previously been rated good.

Inspectors found breaches relating to safety and governance: there was no registered manager in post, staff training on managing violence and aggression was lacking, and risk records were not always up to date. However, staffing levels were adequate, people were treated with kindness, and families reported feeling their relatives were safe, though some raised concerns about inconsistent communication and activities.
