Rutland House Care Home

Rutland House Care Home provides care for older people living with dementia, supporting a small number of residents at the time of the assessment. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding that previous concerns had been addressed, with better management of risks, medicines and staff recruitment. Governance had improved, and managers were experienced and well regarded by people, relatives and partners.

Inspectors found staff understood how to protect people from abuse and responded promptly to concerns, including a trip hazard identified during the visit. The environment was clean, with plans to update older furnishings. People described feeling safe and well cared for, and were encouraged to share feedback that helped shape ongoing improvements.
