Royal Park

Royal Park is a care home providing short and long-term placements for up to 22 people with neurological conditions, brain or spinal injuries, and those requiring artificial ventilation and tracheostomies. At the time of inspection, the home was at full capacity with 22 residents.

Inspectors found that care plans were not consistently followed, and those addressing emotional distress lacked the detailed guidance staff needed to provide appropriate support. Individual risk assessments were not always managed safely, meaning people did not consistently receive the support they required. Additionally, residents were not adequately supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff not fully enabling their independence and autonomy.
