Hampton Court Care Home

Hampton Court provides personal and nursing care to older people, including those living with dementia or with mental health needs, across two separate units. The Lodge specialises in supporting people with advanced dementia. At the time of inspection, 51 people were using the service.

People felt safe, and staff demonstrated knowledge of identifying abuse and escalating safety concerns appropriately. Staff had been safely recruited and medicines were administered as prescribed, with sufficient staffing levels to respond to people's needs. Infection control systems were in place and incidents were reviewed to identify learning opportunities.

Care assessments were completed and care plans documented people's wishes and preferences. However, systems for reviewing and monitoring the quality of care were not always effective at identifying concerns.
