Rowan Lodge

Rowan Lodge provides residential and nursing care for up to 60 people, with 57 living there at the time of the assessment. The CQC found the home was performing well overall and rated it Good. Inspectors found people were kept safe, risks well managed, and staff suitably trained and supported.

One area for improvement was identified around medicines management.

People and relatives described a warm, calm atmosphere and said staff were kind and respectful, though some felt staffing levels meant call bells were not always answered promptly. Most felt care was not rushed and that there were enough meaningful activities, though some wanted more activities aimed at men. Concerns raised were handled well, with strong leadership and a good learning culture noted throughout.
