Priors House

Priors House provides personal and nursing care for up to 80 people, including those living with dementia. The home comprises four separate suites across two floors, with shared lounges, dining rooms, and a café area. At inspection, 62 people were using the service. Staff demonstrated passion for their work and were proud of supporting residents to maintain a good quality of life, with a strong focus on person-centred care and creating new memories. Many staff members had worked at the home for considerable time, contributing to an inclusive culture where everyone was valued.

The home maintains quality and safety through regular audits with action plans to drive improvements, and has a strong culture of learning from incidents. People, relatives, staff and professionals are actively encouraged to provide feedback. Priors House works in partnership with health professionals and other organisations to improve outcomes for residents. The home has developed community links through dementia awareness events and partnerships with a local secondary school. Staff receive training in safeguarding and feel confident speaking up about concerns.
