About Presentation Sisters Care Centre

Presentation Sisters Care Centre is a nursing home in Derbyshire, providing care to older people, including some living with dementia. Further details on the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Presentation Sisters Care Centre provides nursing and personal care to 32 people aged 65 and over, with space for up to 36 residents. Some people living at the service are managing dementia. The three-storey building is accessible by stairs or lift, with private rooms for residents and access to lounges, dining areas and a garden.

At inspection, inspectors found that whilst the service had infection control policies with required guidance on COVID-19, these had not been fully implemented or embedded to ensure safety measures were in place. Personal protective equipment was not being used in accordance with guidance, which appeared linked to a lack of up-to-date training provided to staff.
