Hollybank House

Hollybank House provides personal and nursing care for up to 45 people, including younger adults and older people with physical health needs and those living with dementia. At inspection, 39 people were using the service. People and relatives felt safe at the home, with consistency of staff playing an important role in creating a sense of security and welcome. Staff demonstrated good knowledge of people's health and social care needs and understood how to recognise and report concerns or abuse, feeling confident to speak up about any issues.

The home ensured adequate staffing levels to keep people safe. People's needs were properly assessed and reviewed with them and their relatives where appropriate, with associated health risks documented. Medicines were managed safely and administered as prescribed. The provider operated a 'no blame' approach to incidents, viewing them as learning opportunities for continuous improvement across the team.
