Valley Lodge Care Home with Nursing

Valley Lodge provides nursing and personal care to up to 64 older and younger adults, including those living with dementia and physical disabilities. The service is accommodated across three areas of an adapted building with communal facilities for dining, socialising, and bathing. At inspection, 58 people were using the service.

Residents reported feeling safe and appreciated the ongoing refurbishment improvements. Staff were safely recruited and assessed as competent to provide care. People received medicines as prescribed and were supported to make choices and maintain independence. Families and residents had opportunities to meet the manager before admission and participated in thorough assessments of their health and wellbeing needs. Residents felt confident raising concerns and knew these would be addressed, and most believed there were usually enough staff on duty to meet their needs.
