Preceptory Lodge

Preceptory Lodge provides personal care for up to 8 people with autistic spectrum disorder or learning disabilities. At inspection, 6 people were living at the service, with two in the bungalow and four in the main house. The home offers a safe, clean, well-equipped environment that meets residents' sensory and physical needs. Staff support people with their medicines in ways that promote independence and achieve good health outcomes, though records could better reflect best practice guidance. Safety checks take place on emergency equipment, but additional work is needed to ensure all fire safety precautions are fully in place. Staffing difficulties at the service meant some people did not always have the correct support available, which increased the risk of harm, though no actual harm was found during the inspection.
