Pinetree Lodge

Pinetree Lodge provides nursing care and accommodation for up to 34 older people living with mental health conditions or dementia. At the time of inspection, 19 people were living at the service. The home had strong infection control systems in place, with adequate supplies of personal protective equipment and staff trained in proper usage. The registered manager conducted regular compliance checks and spot checks to prevent staff becoming complacent with safety procedures. Staff and residents were tested regularly for COVID-19, and a vaccination programme was operational.

People using the service spoke positively about the support they received from staff. The registered manager and practice development lead worked collaboratively with senior management, residents, and visitors to implement changes to the visiting policy during the inspection period.
