Peregrine House

Peregrine House provides personal care and accommodation for up to 36 older people, including those living with dementia, across four separate units. Following concerns raised about safety and wellbeing, the CQC's rating has dropped from Good to Requires Improvement, with three breaches found relating to person-centred care, risk management and governance.

Inspectors found gaps in risk assessments, inconsistent moving and handling practices, and care plans that did not always reflect people's needs. Staff interactions were sometimes task-focused rather than person-centred, and management arrangements had not identified these issues. Medicines were managed safely, admissions were well handled, and most people and relatives spoke positively about staff and felt safe.
