Parkside (St Helens) Limited

Parkside provides personal care and accommodation for up to 30 people aged 65 and over. At the time of inspection, 22 people were living at the home. Staff were available to meet people's needs, with residents confirming they received prompt assistance when required. One resident noted, "Staff come quickly if I need them." Although a high proportion of agency staff were on duty initially due to unplanned sickness among regular staff, people continued to receive necessary care and support. When regular staff returned the following day, cleanliness improved throughout the home. Staff demonstrated good infection prevention and control practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment. The home maintained a regular testing programme for both staff and residents, and supported people to self-isolate in their rooms when needed.
