OSJCT Buckland Court is a care home providing support to older people, including those living with dementia, with 30 people receiving care at the time of assessment. The CQC rated it Requires Improvement overall, following up on earlier breaches. Shortfalls remained in medicines management, equipment safety, staffing oversight and record-keeping, with care planning around nutrition, hydration and skin integrity not always reliable.

Governance was still not effective enough to identify or address repeated issues, and the home remains in breach of regulations on good governance.

Inspectors did find a caring culture, with kind, respectful staff who knew people well and supported their independence. Relatives spoke positively about communication and continuity of care, and safeguarding concerns were recognised and acted upon appropriately.
