Osborne House

Osbourne House is a residential care home for up to 32 older people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 26 people were using the service. Staff supported residents to have maximum choice and control over their lives in the least restrictive way possible. The home was safe, with staff confident in identifying and reporting concerns about potential abuse. Risk assessments were in place to support safe care provision, and there were sufficient staff to meet people's needs. The provider and registered manager had acted on all previous recommendations, including improvements to medicines policy, laundry procedures and audits. Inspectors recommended reviewing procedures for recording capacity assessments and best interests decisions to ensure they contain sufficient detail. Staff were described as kind and caring, and the service was well led.
