Old Rectory (Bramshall)

The service provides personal care to up to 24 residents with physical disabilities, sensory impairments and dementia in one adapted building. Environmental risks had not been adequately identified and addressed, and medicines were not always well managed. Staff recruitment had gaps in records and lacked effective auditing, while the provider's quality assurance systems were insufficient in identifying risks and driving improvements. Care assessments were not always updated when residents' needs changed, and some care folders contained inconsistencies and inaccuracies.

Staff received training, supervision and regular team meetings, though some training proved ineffective. The service supported residents to have choice and control in their lives using least restrictive approaches where possible. However, policies and systems did not consistently support this practice, and improvements were needed in relation to Mental Capacity Act compliance.
