Old Rectory (Bramshall) accommodates up to 30 people requiring nursing or personal care, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 20 residents were living there. Staff did not always follow guidelines for safely supporting people with mobility needs, meaning people did not consistently receive safe care and support. The physical environment was not maintained to a safe standard, with maintenance issues in some areas undermining infection prevention and control procedures despite staff following proper protocols.

The provider could not demonstrate that people received their prescribed topical creams as directed. This raised concerns about medication management and ensuring prescribed treatments were being administered correctly to residents.
