Church Terrace Nursing Home

Church Terrace Nursing Home accommodates up to 65 people across four wings, including an adapted separate building. The service provides personal and nursing care to younger and older adults, including those living with dementia and people with mental health concerns. At the time of inspection, 60 people were residing at the home.

Inspectors found improvements in overall care and support since the last inspection. People and relatives spoke positively about the service. Staff demonstrated knowledge of safeguarding and protecting people from harm, with risks to people's care and the environment properly identified and assessed. People received medicines safely from trained staff, and recruitment processes were safe. The home supported people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff using the least restrictive approaches in people's best interests.

The home had implemented new quality monitoring systems, though further improvements were identified regarding monitoring of equipment such as mattresses, with additional time needed to assess the effectiveness of these new processes.
