Oban House Residential Care Home

Oban House Residential Care Home accommodates up to 30 people requiring personal care, with a focus on supporting older adults with age-related frailties and dementia. At inspection, 24 people were using the service.

Inspectors found significant gaps in health and safety assessments. People's care records lacked sufficient detail to guide safe support from staff. Risk assessments for conditions including diabetes, epilepsy and Parkinson's disease were either incomplete or too vague to be useful. Those with catheters had no documented risk assessments at all. The home did not routinely monitor people's weight or assess and track the risk of pressure damage to skin.
