Oban House Residential Care Home

Oban House Residential Care Home provides accommodation, care and support for up to 30 older people, including those living with dementia. At the time of the CQC's assessment, 19 people were living there. Inspectors found the service had made considerable improvements since a previous inadequate rating, with risks now managed effectively, safer staff recruitment and stronger oversight, resulting in an overall rating of good.

People told inspectors they felt safe and well cared for, describing staff as kind, patient and family-like. Residents said they were involved in decisions about their care and risk management, with enough staff available to respond quickly. Relatives felt consulted and confirmed good working relationships with GPs and other professionals.
