Oaktree Hall & Lodge

Bessingby Hall provides accommodation and personal care to up to 50 people, including younger adults, older people, those living with dementia, and people with physical disabilities. At inspection, 32 people were using the service. Staff are well-trained and understand their roles, with clear knowledge of people's diverse needs. Care and support is tailored to individual preferences, and people are supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives.

The home manages risks through regular assessment and review, recruits staff safely, and handles medicines securely. The environment is dementia-friendly with accessible gardens. People and their relatives report a wide variety of activities available. Residents expressed happiness living at the service, and staff support people in the least restrictive way possible while acting in their best interests.
