Oaklands

Oaklands in Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire provides residential care for up to eight people living with learning disabilities and/or autism. The home features individual accommodation, communal lounge areas, an open plan kitchen/diner and gardens, and has a registered manager in post.

Staff demonstrate creative approaches to supporting residents' wellbeing and social engagement. When external activities became unavailable, the team brought entertainment into the home, organizing music nights, themed parties including Mexican and beach-themed events, ensuring residents could continue to enjoy social experiences and meaningful engagement within the home environment.
