About Oakham Grange

Oakham Grange is a care home with nursing in Rutland, supporting adults living with dementia. The findings below set out what the CQC's most recent assessment found.

Oakham Grange, in Rutland, is a care home with nursing providing support to adults of all ages living with dementia, caring for 65 people at the time of assessment. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding kind, well-trained staff, effective safeguarding, and strong leadership focused on continuous improvement. Governance issues identified at a previous assessment had been resolved.

Inspectors did find shortfalls in medicines management and in the strength of some audits, which had not consistently identified problems; the provider acted promptly to address this. Feedback on staff response times was mixed, with some families and residents describing delays, though others reported calls answered quickly. People felt safe, well cared for and involved in decisions about their care.
