Oak View

Oak View provides accommodation and personal care for four people with profound and multiple learning disabilities. The ground floor building has been specifically designed to meet the needs of people with physical disabilities. Staff are trained in infection control and implement thorough visiting procedures to protect people's safety. The home is clean and tidy, with sufficient staff on hand to provide necessary support.

The service has good quality governance systems in place. Staff know what actions to take if they identify concerns about harm, abuse or discrimination, ensuring people are protected. Recruitment procedures are robust to ensure only suitable staff are employed. Safe procedures are in place to ensure people receive their medicines as prescribed. Following the inspection, the registered manager identified areas for improvement in record keeping and called a staff meeting to ensure all staff understood the changes needed.
