About Northfield House

Northfield House is a residential care home in North Yorkshire, providing support for autistic people and people with a learning disability. The findings below set out what the CQC found on its most recent inspection.

Northfield House provides care for autistic people and people with a learning disability, and had eight people living there at the time of the CQC's assessment. Inspectors found the service was performing well overall, with good risk management, person-centred care plans and a supportive staff culture. Previous breaches around person-centred care and safe treatment had been resolved, with clear improvements noted.

Relatives said people were safe, well cared for and treated as individuals, and praised increased activities and independence since a change in management. Some felt communication with relatives could improve, though a new manager planned to address this. Overall, the CQC rated the home Good.
