North Downs Villa

North Downs Villa is a residential care home providing personal care for up to 10 people with mental health needs. Inspectors found the service was performing well overall and rated it Good. Previous breaches around safeguarding, staffing, risk management, person-centred care and dignity had been resolved, though a new issue relating to risk was identified alongside a continuing shortfall in governance.

Staff understood their duty to protect people from harm, and there were enough of them to meet needs. People said they felt safe, valued staff kindness and respect, and were positive about improvements to the home environment. The registered manager was aware of remaining issues and had begun taking action to address them.
