Newline Care Home

Newline Care Home is a residential care home supporting older adults, including people living with dementia. At the time of the CQC assessment, 25 people were living there. The service is now rated Good overall, having previously been in breach of regulations relating to safe care and treatment and governance.

Inspectors found these breaches had been resolved, with risks well managed and medicines safely handled, though some record-keeping around risk assessments and creams still needed refinement.

People and relatives told inspectors they felt safe, well cared for and treated kindly, describing a warm, family-like atmosphere. Staff were experienced, well supported and knew people’s needs closely. The CQC found management had good oversight, though quality assurance processes could be strengthened further.
